Hi I have got a new mobile phone galaxy s5 from the 6 of January 2015. This was working this morning as I did use my phone . and then I tried to switch the phone back on to witch it didn't . ithe battrey as72 percent on it. I then put my charger back in and the light didn't come on to show me if the phone will be chargeing and the light never came on. So I did take it to a Vodafone shop in Nottingham and I was told that they would have to send it away!?and that I wouldn't get the phone back for 14 to 17 days!? I do not think this is right at all as I haven't that long. I think that all the shop has to do is gave me a new one in place of the other one . then I won't be with out one. Whose loseing out me. I have been with Vodafone bfor some time now so why cant I be Gaven another new phone that is in the shop? Could you pleased reply back and let me know thank you miss j stead.

Hi there

If you are in the 14 day cooling off period, your handset would just be swapped. As you are outside of this, you would need to send the phone off for repair.  If you are on a Red plan, you should be able to get a loan device.

If you would like a second opinion on your handset, you can also use the nearest Samsung Repair Centre. You may find that they are slightly quicker. However, you won't get a loan phone if you send your handset off to Samsung

Repairs is one area that Apple leads the way ... if your iPhone goes faulty you just need go to the Apple store and they will give you a lone phone while yours is repaired. They really know how to look after their customers
