Huawei Ascend P1 (U9200) Firmware Update

Can someone please give me an honest answer on why when the manufacture of my phone (Huawei) has released several updates and that have been tested and proven why i am not receiving them?

The reason they update the firmware is to respond to the consumers wants and needs but i am guessing this view is not shared by Vodafone. Can i please get a confirmed date for the release of the firmware or get a code to unlock my phone to update this myself.

Regards

Hi J88-Kev,

You can see a full statement about our firmware updates here.

If you'd like to get your phone unlocked, submit our form and we'll provide you with the unlocking code.

There is a charge of £19.99 to unlock your handset, it's free if you've had your phone for over 12 months.

Thanks,

Matt B

Just as i feared no one actually knows and as i believe the phone is now discontinued with Vodafone so i will not see an update. I can’t see why a release was not issued sooner.

I’m sure that a company like Huawei can get an update right and tested for their own phone better that Vodafone. So can i have some technical advise on how to update this manually?
