K4505 firmware - alternative location

i've been trying for a number of hours to download the firmware update for the k4505 USB modem; i've been using the following link:

Can anyone provide me with an alternative link? I require this as a matter of urgency!

Could someone please assist with firmware for a White Vodafone K4505-Z?

I'm having similar problems with the dongle disconnecting.

I've tried both the link from your reply and the attachment posted by Trev.

Both fail to detect my dongle.

My dongle is the K4505-Z model, manufactured by the ZTE corporation.

I've noticed the firmware updates are Huawei updates.

Please advise

Thanks for trying that for us.

I would like to try and pinpoint where this issue is lies. If you can answer the questions below that would help:

1. Does this happen with the dongle in another USB port?

2. Have you tried this on another computer? Did it work?

If there is anything else that you have tried please let us know.

Hi Martin,

I've tried all USB ports and the same problem.

I haven't tried another computer, but I have used another dongle  K3565-Z with the same sim in the same computer with the same dashboard software and no problems at all.

Ocassionally I get "The Sim did not answer correctly" when using the K4505-Z.

I then have to unplug and re-insert the K4505-Z to get it working.

In areas with no 3G and weak edge signal the dongle will freeze up and I have to reboot my computer.

Im running Mac OS X Lion, but id did the same with Snow Leopard.

Hi AndrewCY,

Can you confirm what version of Mobile broadband Software you are using?

If not already I would recommend downloading and installing version 4.07 (latest).

Also when installing the new firmware to your device, this is currently not available on a MAC computer and as such you will need to try this on a windows PC.

If you can give this a go we will be able to look into this further for you.

Hi James,

I'm running Ver 4.07.00.00 (21245) and still have the problem.

All I need is the firmware update for the ZTE version of the K4505-Z

Previous links to the firmware were for the Hauwei version of the K4505 and don't work on the K4505-Z

My current firmware version is BD_P680A2V1.0.0B05

I'm not aware of a firmware update for the K4505-Z, but I have contacted our data specialist to see if there's a copy available.

I'll update the thread as soon as I get a reply.
