Hi @stuf83
The Vodafone Network Checker is showing no issues for your local masts but when zooming out on the map it does report the following which can occasionally affect local masts if Vodafone are possibly re routing network traffic to compensate.
"We'll be doing some work on our network in this area to improve your calls, texts and data coverage. Sorry if you notice any disruption. We're expecting to start work on 8am 21 Jun 2017 and to have things back to normal by 6pm 21 Jun 2017. Everything else should be working fine."
Link > Vodafone Network Checker.
I find that actual speeds can be affected by many factors including possible occasional Mast connection , the amount of people accessing the service and Mast issues caused by weather etc.

@stuf83 – I’ve checked the coverage in your area and while there is 4G available, this is a little patchy.
Your local site’s performing as expected and isn’t showing any recent problems - this will be due to general coverage and not a network fault.
You may find that changing your phone settings to 2G only, or 2G/3G may help if you’re having difficulties when connected to 4G.
