Hi I've just been reading through and I noticed some one had a problem with battery drain and said in the battery usage if media server shows up then there is a bug with chrome because I have the same problem before I try the options I just want to make sure it's safe.I went to disable an app and it said it can cause errors so I didn't follow it up I don't want to make things worse.does disabling apps make a phone unstable

I had the same issue on my s7 edge when using Google Chrome. 

I force stopped Chrome and disabled it in app settings. 

Issue resolved and no issues. 

I now use the Samsung Browser and a content blocker.

I stopped and disabled Chrome around 4 months ago. 

Media Server disappears.

To be honest I find the Samsung Browser better optimised for my S7 edge.

I'm going to keep my eye on the media server I had it on my s5 as well so I'm going to give it a try on that as I don't use that for online any more

No worries. 

I recall all at the time because some people prefer Google Chrome they were trying the 'Beta Chrome' App but as it was in Beta there was a very real possibility of it crashing etc.
