Mobile Hotspot - Activation Required

PAYG Blackberry Curve 9720 with 7.1 2994 has internet working but keeps getting "Activation Required..." error when trying to start Mobile Hotspot. Live chat did enable APN and an SMS arrived to confirm the settings - but the error still persists. Anyone know what the final piece of the puzzle is? APN is switched on with blank APN name, Username & Password.

You would be able to use the tablet WiFi.  You can't tether on PAYG via USB, it won't be supported.

So, Anne, sounds like tethering in general is not possible for PAYG (WiFi Hotspot or USB).

Which tablet do you have with a USB port on it ?

Are you thinking of using a Dongle ?

It's a Hudl with a micro-USB. Was hoping to use Blackberry hotspot for data via WiFi. The Blackberry has a micro-USB too, so just wondering...
