Multiple contact lists - Bold 9900

Hello, I want to keep seperate contact lists (work and personal) on my BB, but I have only a choice of my yahoo account in contacts / options / contact lists. I use BIS and Outlook on my PC. When I open the desktop software / organiser / then the contacts is set to sync with the outlook profile, yet when I try to sync the PC and BB, I get a dialogue box which wants me to choose syncing to the yahoo account OTA as it thinks that the Outlook profile is not available.

Any ideas gratefully accepted !

Hi ukgavj007,

Welcome to the eForum. :Smiling:

Please let me know if you have the latest updates available for your BlackBerry. You can check this via 'Options', 'Device' and 'Software updates'.

If that's up to date, let me know the version of Outlook you're running. :Winking_smiley:

Cheers, Ben

Hi Ben, thanks for responding. Yes, I have all the latest updates on my Blackberry, and I'm running Outlook 2010 to MS Exchange with MS 365. I'm also running CodeTwo Public Folders to share work contacts between work PC's, although the BB issue predates this installation.

Thanks again

Gavin

Hi Gavin,

As you’re syncing everything wirelessly (MS Exchange and MS 365), your BlackBerry won’t be able to sync when connected to your PC via a USB cable.

Thanks,

Andy

Thanks Andy, I don't mind either way, but I want to have multiple contact lists to sync; one for my work contacts (Exchange, 365) and one for personal (yahoo).

How do I get a second contact list recognised in the setup?

Thanks again

Gavin

Hi ukgavj007,

I've done a search on the internet and tried to replicate this in the office, however it doesn't appear to be possible on BIS.

You'll need to have BES.

You could try resetting your phone to default and setting them up individually, however this is not a certain resolution.
