I just upgraded to the s6 which has nano sim, my current sim is micro. I received a new sim with the phone, is that the one I use from now on? And will it be the same number?

You'll need to do a sim swap which can take upto 24 hours to activate but yes you'll use your new sim for your new phone and you'll keep your number.

If you log into "my account " section you can fill in a sim swap form and that way you don't have to wait patiently on phone
