1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?
Okay, my wife and I are both on Vodafone. Both live in the same house, in the NG5 area. I've experienced the issue from NG11 and outside of the NG area, but I cannot remember a time when my wife wasn't in the NG5 area when I called her. I've had it happen when I've been in the NG5 area ringing a Leicester number - this rules out my wife's phone. This leaves the network (possibly at NG5) or my phone being at fault.
2) Full postcode in my profile.
3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?
Not tried it yet. Have tried a factory reset and taking the SIM out, etc.
4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?
Between 30 seconds and a minute the voice goes "garbled" for both ends and the call usually drops. Call is sometimes successful the second time around, but sometimes it requires multiple calls.
5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?
Tested on 3G and 4G. Issue occurs on both. BUT, this is when I'm at NG11 and my wife is at NG5. Hers would have still been set to default (probably 4G).
6) When did you first notice this issue?
Can't be certain. Had the phone/been on Vodafone 6 weeks - can't recall if it's always done it. Definitely apparent after upgrading my phone to Nougat.
7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?
Can happen any time. I would say the success rate is about 25-50% right now, but it always involves one end being in the NG5 area.
