I have poor reception in my flat due to basement and thick walls so i have a Sure Signal box supplied by Vodafone a year ago. It has been working fine until Thursday evening. I have called Vodafone several times and we have run checks/resets/resync both ends. Vodafone have texted me the following today following another phonecall:
'Please contact ISP to do port forward for ports 50,500,4500,123,8,1723 open all these ports for TCP & UDP The download speed 1Mbps upload speed between 0.4 Mbps . Need to assign that to static IP for the ports & the sure signal MAC number make sure allow firewall for the sure signal protocol type PPPOA MTU Size 1500'
I rang Talk Talk (my ISP) but they didn't understand what i wanted, I have managed to obtain the information below, is it what is required?
My router's make and model number: Huawei HG533
Sure Signal serial number: 40121416644

Hi melanie3132
Thanks for your post.
It does sound like as issue with the ports. As you ISP hasn't be able to help see here for instructions on how do it yourself.
If that doesn't help are you able to test it at a different location?
Let us know how you get on.
Thanks
Sukhi
