I have an iphone 6 which i received on 19/09. I requested my number be ported from giffgaff and was told this would be complete on 23/09.

At 8am on 23/09 my giffgaff sim was deactivated.

it's now 11am on 30/09 and i still can't use my phone on Vodafone.

I can dial out ok from my phone but i can't receive calls. I'm also unable to send or receive texts.

I've spoken to customer services every day and during each call i'm told it'll start working tomorrow, but it never has.

I'm posting on here as a last resort as i can't face another call to customer services.

Can someone please assist me as i've now had my phone for 11 days and have yet to receive a text or call on it !

Moth85 did you have any luck yesterday?
I received this email on Sat which I responded to Sat evening stating the number was updated on the day of the port and I've re synced with iTunes since and even reset back to factory settings and started again but the issue persists...

As you are using an iPhone and number was ported from a different number can you please manually check the setting are set correctly:

Setting>Phone>My number> Save the new number

Please ensure that your new number which is 'mynewnumber' is set in your number column. If you have the old number displaying would request you to change to the new number and once done re-sync the phone with the iTunes.

If you already have the new number reflecting can you please ensure that the phones was re-synced with the iTunes.

Let us know how you get on.

It's now day 22

Hi djm111,

I’m sorry to hear of the delay.

If this has been passed to the porting team, they’ll be working to get this resolved as soon as possible.

If you feel that this is not being resolved, please reply to the last email we’ve sent to you, making sure that the routing code WRT165 is in the subject line.

Cheers,

Laura

Ive pasted below the most recent email you are referring to. Theres no indication whatsoever that you expect a reply from me. This has been going on over a month now and the level of service is appalling. Ive responded to this email now as youve requested

Thank you for your email.

I understand that you are facing issue with the incoming services. I have escalated your case to our porting team. Once we receive any update from our team. We’ll let you know.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

My phone started working on the morning of 23 Oct, 30 days late. I've received no notification of what has been done to fix it so unfortunately no help to others who may be in the same position. I'm just pleased its over eventually.

I'm sure its just a coincidence but the first text i managed to receive was for my 2nd bill.
Ive requested a refund for the full month i've been without a phone, ive been told more than once i'd be due compensation so hopefully thats true
