Palm rejection issues

Overall very pleased with my S7 Edge, having come over from an iPhone 6S. One immediate issue is palm rejection on the screen edge - as there's little edge to hold on to, its inevitable that your fingers are going to touch the screen edge, something a moden touch-screen device should be able to ignore without any problems.

Looking online, this is a recognised issue, with folks moving from the S6 Edge to the S7 Edge noticing it right away, having not experienced the same thing on their previous handsets, see:

Aparantly "Non US" customers have recieved an "urgent" OTA update that may be a fix. WIll this be heading out way sooner rather than later as its really making the phone unusuable at times?

Is anyone else experiencing this (incase its a hardware issue)? In addition to palm rejection, the screen is crazy senesitive for me - I can't scroll up the screen in certain apps without casuing a 'click/touch' where my finger leaves it - something I've never experienced on an iPhone.

Hi

I'm also looking to go down the path you have.

All relies on the iPhone 7 as I currently use the iPhone 6 Plus.

Regarding the s7 edge I've read.

"Go to Settings/Language and input/Pointer speed. Move the slider towards slow."

May help.

Sorry to add Vodafone do not comment on Firmware releases as per Firmware statement

I'll be buying mine from the Samsung shop as sim unlocked and unbranded.

I'm please to say a software/firmware update today, "G935FXXU1APD1 / G935FVFG1APD2 / G935FXXU1APD1", looks to have rectified the problem :Smiling:
