Payg Dongle - Ras Error Code 619

I bought a vodafone PAYG 3G dongle a couple of weeks ago and all was fine until this morning. I got the 3G signal and tried to connect but then got the following error message in a pop up

RAS Error code 619
Mobile connection not possible

I have followed all the instructions about device manager and ports but still keep getting the error message. Have tried about 10 times to connect but no luck.

Hi Matt_the_hat and welcome to the eForum

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems here. :(

I'm going to ask you a few questions and suggest some things you can try

first of all do you have credit on your account?
Have you tried removing the modem and re-inserting after turning the PC/Laptop off and back on?
Make sure all internal modems are disabled.

Please let me know how you get on and if you have any more questions please let me know and we'll be happy to help you further

Thanks

Wayne

There was credit on the account and I had tried all of the above but with no joy.
Tried again later in the pm and it worked straight away... very odd.
Hopefully it wont happen again!
Thanks for the post.

Try to swap onto GPRS for a time. 619 means that the server you are trying connect to has a problem with authentication of your account. For example something got into the way and the server thinks that you are still connected, there is too many users at the moment and so for. Nothing wrong with your device or the computer.
