Hi I have a Vodafone smart ultra 6 phone brought from vodafone on payg. It's now created a fault where the middle button won't work
It was brought in august 2015 but I understand these have 24 month warranty so I have read on here. I visited Vodafone store this morning and they assured me it was only 12 months even tho I stated it was on eforum its 24 months, so I ring customer help line and they also state it's 12 month and want me to pay to have it fixed. They both insist its 12 months for payg and 24 for contract, so I seem to be banging my head against a brick wall ouchhhh.
Except for Apple products, all devices come with our standard 24-month warranty. If you’re a Pay monthly or Business customer, this applies whatever the length or type of your contract. If you’re a Pay as you go customer, your warranty starts on the day you buy your device.
You also get a 12-month warranty on all the accessories that are in the box when you buy your device.
Read this also but still insist its 12 months for payg
Hopefully someone can confirm my rights thanks in advanced

How long does it usually take for a Vodafone member to engage, as I may need to buy my son a backup phone as he needs it for school

They are a small team on the forum.
I'm sure they'll be along ASAP.

So it's been 3 days now since this post and still nothing, bear in mind my son has had no phone and when it does come to light it's 24months warranty the phone will have to be sent off for repair, so he will be lucky if he gets it fixed before Xmas. Shame on you Vodafone

Apologies for the delay in getting to your post.
As far as I'm aware, Pay as you go handsets are covered by 24 months warranty as confirmed on the website.
Have you shown this information to the advisers in store? Which store was it you visited?

Thanks for keeping us updated @Dizzyd1986. I’ve now fed this back to the store so that they are aware of this and of the statement on the website.
So that a repair can be arranged for you, please revisit the store who will have received communication from us to state the warranty is at 24 months (as stated on the website). Let us know how you get on.

Hi,
Just had the same experience in the Bromley store. Told that as payg then warranty only twelve months and the repair that is needed is chaegeable.
Can you please advise that store too..
