Problem when typing texts on Huawei G510

For some reason, when I have been typing out some texts on my Huawei G510, the message gets sent to draft before I have finished typing it out. I then can't seem to get back to the draft and finish the text. I can see the message in the list, marked as a draft, but I can't finish it off. I can get the keyboard to come up but I can't then see the unfinished text at all.
I hope I have explained this ok.
Can someone help me on this, please?

Hi veggieman,

If this happens randomly when typing the text, there's unlikely to be a specific setting which will fix it.

I'd start by checking for any firmware updates:

 - Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
 - Press the settings icon.
 - Press All.
 - Press About phone.
 - Press System updates.
 - Press Online update.
 - If a new software version is available, it's displayed.
 - Follow the instructions on the display to update your phone's software.

Next, try giving the phone a hard reset:

 - Switch the handset on
 - Whilst powered up, remove the SIM card and battery
 - Put the battery back in and switch on
 - Wait a couple of minutes, then remove the battery again
 - Replace the SIM and battery and switch back on

If that doesn't help, I'd suggest backing up the phone and giving it a factory reset:

 - Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.

 - Press the settings icon.
 - Press All.
 - Press Backup & reset.
 - Press Factory data reset.

 - Press Reset phone.
 - Press Reset phone.
 - Wait a moment while the factory default settings are restored.

Test the phone before restoring your data to see if the same thing happens. If it doesn't, restore things gradually - testing after each part - as something you've installed may have caused this.

Many thanks for that.

My wife is more technically-minded than me so will have a look at what you have suggested.

It is very irritating rather than a major problem.
