Hi

 

My Vodafone Protect App has locked my handset - it says that I need data to send an email to ym address however the phone is locked and I don't have availability ot this function.

 

Can some one plase help me get my code as I have aflight soon and I was hoping to be able to use my phone whilst on the flight.

Hi

 

You could try inserting your SIM card in another phone and request the pin that way. 

 

Alternatively you could try a hard reset which takes the phone back to the last firmware update. However this process could also delete your saved information in the phones storage memory.

My Phone has been locked via the Protect App, is the code that is being requested, is this a PUK code?

Hi there

 

No, the PUK code is what you use when you ahve entered your SIM code incorrectly too many times.

 

You need to enter the PIN number that you created when you downloaded and set up Vodafone Protect.

 

If you can't remember your Vodafone Protect PIN number, pop your SIM into another phone, get it sent through by text.  Then pop your SIM back into the phone that Protect has locked and enter the PIN.


If this doesn't work, you will have to factory reset your device. THis will mean losing your data if it hasn't been backed up.
