My mum goes to see my nan in a nursing home (no internet) every morning, it has a very bad text and call signal, how can this be rectified, its very important that she is able to contact others.

She just bought a iphone 3gs and is struggling with signal. Would the sure signal work? or is there another option?

Thanks

Sure Signal needs a broadband connection to work so your Nan would need to get broadband installed in the home to use it.

What Chorotaga says.

If it's so important to have cellphone service at the nursing home, find out which (if any) cellphone provider has a good signal there and buy a cheap phone (or use an old one) with a PAYGO sim in it.

You mention text service - don't rely on SMS for anything important. There are no service guarantees and you have no way of knowing whether a message sent has actually been received (unless, of course, you get a reply).
