Ras 619 All The Time!

Hello everyone!
I really need help with my problem.. I have big problem with RAS 619. But let me descride it step by step:
I have purchased a 'pay monthly' internet from VOdafone with Huawei E220. After some time, modem couldn't connect with the computer, so i went to local vodafone store. They told me that all they can do is to copy data from my sim card to new sim card. They could not do more, because i bought modem in 'Phones4u'. But modem still couldn't connect with computer. I search the net and people told me it is the problem with modem. So i bought new one - Huawei E160. Computer connected with it, 3G network found, BUT when i tried to connect - RAS 619 error..;/
I tried many many solutions which i found on this eForum, but nothing helped.. My modem is good, because i put there my friend's SIM card - everything worked pefect. I also tried to put my SIM card to several modems/dongles every time RAS 619 erros...
Can someone please give me the reason if this ?? Can people from VOdafone store give me new SIM card??

Hi bartek.p and welcome to the eForum :)

Don't worry about your English I'm sure its alot better than my foreign tongue ;)

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with the Dongle and I can understand how frustrating this must be for you.

You can definitely get a new SIM from a Vodafone store so it would be definitely worth giving this a go.

Also can you try putting your SIM into a Mobile phone and connecting to the internet? If you do not have Vodafone mobile phone you can also do this in store.

Unfortunately, i couldnt connect by the mobile phone (maybe because wrong internet settings in my mobile), however when i put my SIM card to other dongle on the other computer, it connected instantly...
Any more advices?

Hi Bartek.p

Have you now tried to enter your SIM into the original dongle and see if that works correctly now you've updated it?

if not you have stated that the SIM works in another USB dongle then that would suggest that the one your having issues with is faulty.

I would suggest you pop into a Vodafone store so a member of staff can take a look :D
