Hi
Im having the same problem but i have windows XP computer and a K3520 USB lite. When i spoke to Vodafone Tech department they told me my device was faulty so i have had a new one but still have same problem.
The error message the first time was "connection to the remote computer could not be established". Now when i try to connect i have "error 720". I have tried going into Manage devices and selecting this has default but still the same.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Emma

I imagine Emma that you are most likely to be using an IBM.
The other notorious offenders for this problem are HP, Dell and Toshiba.
If you are using an IBM, the fix is listed in this thread, if you are not great around computers, I might suggest you get somebody who is to work through the steps I detailed earlier.
If it is not an IBM, before going through this process, let us know what machine it is and there are a couple of simpler things to try.

Hi Nj05
Welcome to the Vodafone eForum community.
In relation to your post. The Toshiba laptops do have intermittent 720 errors with opur modems. I would firstly try to uninstall and reinstall the device again; if this doesn’t work then you will need to follow the instructions on this previous thread

Simply installing and uninstalling the modem is not going to rectify this Windows error.
3 things i suggest trying on your Toshiba.
1. Check in Device Manager and see if you have an adapter in Network Adapters that stands out wih a yellow exclamation mark against it. If you do, is it a WAN miniport (IP)?
If yes, post here and I can advise further.
2. In the event that the above is not the case, locate your LAN and wireless adapters in Device Manager and uninstall them by right clicking and selecting "Uninstall".
Once they are both gone, Use the "Scan for hardware changes" option in the Action menu and Windows should redetect and install them both. Make a couple of attempts to dial through the modem again once the adapters are back as they should be.
3. Finally, try using RAREPAIR which is available to download. I think a link to it has been recently posted inthese forums somewhere.
From experience, one of these three options will work on a Tosh.
