Requested unlock

Hi,
I requested an unlock code for my iPhone 4 reference number 1677949 about 2 weeks ago but I have since tried a different sim in the phone and it doesn't seem to have been done could you please confirm? Plus I haven't received any correspondence for a while either.

Have you connected to iTunes with a different sim in the phone?
That is the only way that the unlock in completed

No I didn't realise that, if I do that it won't alter anything on the sim will it? Only different sim I have is my boyfriends an don't want to change his stuff.

It is totally safe, it changes nothing on the sim.
