So I signed up to home broadband 76mb about 3 months ago and it's just a mess, first month consisted of 15 days unusable because the morons didn't register my routers ID on the network or something so it didn't work, had to go through a ##~## storm of morons hanging up on me and people not knowing what was wrong, apparently turning it on and off again is always worth trying even after 60times.
I've seen some people on this forum request their routers password to use with another router as this one is just getting slower and slower, my speed started at 74MB which is fine then after a month went to 79mb, then 73, now 70.
The Router blocks websites even with no content filters on or anything on.
what the absolute melted dog ears is going on?
Why would a company give us a ##~## router and not give us the password to use our own? it's gotta be one or the other?!
Does anyone know of a way to get out of contract? isn't this the sort of thing that lets you? reported speeds not being as reported and customer service as it is?
I've just started and I can't imagine 16 more months with this?
please no customer service people replying I've seen your posts about contacting vodafone and just no, I've done that more times than a customer who pays for a service should.

Hi
There has been quite a few warranted posts on the subject of using a 3rd party router.
If you perform a search there are some from people who have been successful in doing this.
Vodafone say they cannot support people using their own.
If a person is past the cooling off period then there isn't an easy cost free process.

Tried wtih 2 live chats already
1 Amen ended the chat after telling me to wait for 10 minutes and other Thomas told me that hes under strict orders not to give out the information.
So much struggle to get anything good from them...I got better support from AOL with 56k.
I swear there's a way to get out if the speed your promised isn't there, as it was put in place to combat ISPS saying "UP TO"
Need to do more research.
