S6 Edge Wifi wont turn on

Hi all,

As the subject says, over the last 2 days I have no WiFi on my S6 Edge.

If I turn it on, it turns its self back off.

I have restarted the phone, no luck.

Yesterday I did a factory reset, WiFi worked again until about 20 mins ago, where its now turning on and back off again...

Anyone had issues like this?

Hi, it may be due to WiFi power saving mode, open your dialer then dial *#0011# which opens the service menu, press the menu key, click WiFi, turn off power saving mode.

Also check ram , if less than 45MB WiFi won't turn on normally. Go to ram manager and try a level 1 then level 2 clearance if that doesn't work.

thanks for them tips..

I had 1.2 gb of ram free so it wasnt that.

I tied the *#0011# but couldnt find power saving mode under wifi.. messed about around this menu and then I noticed the WiFi connected okay

Strange, I will have to keep an eye on it. The phones warranty should be the whole term of my contract yes? Im 20 months into a 24 month contract.

Yes it's a 24 month warranty but if there are any signs of damage to the phone (scratches or cracks etc, even if nothing to do with the fault) then Vodafone won't repair under warranty so the best way is to contact Samsung direct to arrange any repairs.

I see, thats good to know, I have a crack in the digitizer on the edge bit. Hasnt effected the phone at all. I gues they may refuse to repair wifi under warranty. Not bothered about the digitizer as it works fine.

Yeah, that sort of thing would cause Vodafone to refuse to repair without paying for that to be fixed first, Samsung do give more leeway if you do need to send it off. Good luck.
