I thought I would put details on how else to complain in one thread, and details on other people to contact to escalate it.
Try Live Help first, however we all know how bad they are.
Contact Vodafone CEO:
His email address is: (Removed by moderator) If you wish to call him, search google for "ceoemail vodafone" and you will find it no problem.
Contact BBC Watchdog with your Story:
You can do this online, via: https://ssl.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mg74/contact or email them at watchdog@bbc.co.uk The show is off air currently but back on screens in 1 month.
3rd party complaint resolution services (free):
If all that fails, contact the Ombudsman:
http://www.ombudsman-services.org/communications.html
I hope this is of some use.

Thanks for the useful information. The CEO must be inundated with complaints already, shall be adding mine to the pile pretty soon. Complained via live chat who seemed to be very helpful and empathetic, but all this is no good when vodafone still cannot tell me when I can get my phone which I preordered on 21st March! Utterly shocking!

like i posted in the other thread with the helpful contacts that kept getting deleted/ removed i have taken down the contacts and will be using them if my phone doesnt arrive soon.
i had been sent the s6 instead the edge even though i checked each time i contacted vodafone that i was getting the edge. i managed to speak to 2 people on the phone yesterday one was helpful and said it appeared that the intial order had gone through as a mistake for s6 but it was easy to sort out, i got transfered and the second guy appeared arrogant, more or less said ' our system shows you ordered the s6 you got sent the s6 whats your problem' i expalined the whole story again - wanted edge kept getting told yes i was getting the edge, got the s6.
anyway, long story short, monday i will call again to see what the deal is.
Apparently its in the system that when stock of the edge comes in i can do a straight swap with the delivery driver.
so we shall see
it seems there are some good people at vodafone, it just takes a hell of a lot of effort to get hold on them, the first guy i spoke to on the phone and the last person i spoke to on chat were the most helpful so far. so we shall see...
but im keeping those contacts close, just in case!
