I am a "new" Vodafone customer. In actuality, I have been with Vodafone for 14 years through an account my father set up for me in his name. I finally decided to set up my own Vodafone account and ordered the Galaxy S5 Mini through this website.
It arrived on the estimated delivery date exactly, which was a good start. However, it has turned out that I have been sent a normal sized SIM card, which doesn't fit into the S5 Mini. It wouldn't be so much of a problem if Vodafone's customer service wasn't impossible for me to get in contact with. I work 12 hour shifts from 9am till 9pm, and have to travel an hour to and from work, which leaves me in the position where I cannot bloody get in contact with anyone.
I have a PAYGO micro SIM which I would like to keep the number of, but I cannot get my account number or PIN because I do not have a phone capable of accepting the monstrosity which is the "regular" SIM size, so how can I go about getting this information when I am unable to get in contact with a customer service representitive? I haven't yet recieved a welcome email either, and it's been 5 days since I ordered my new phone, so I cannot get my account number from there.
I would really appreciate a reply as to what my options actually are for keeping my current PAYGO number. I'm also concerned about the extended length of time I'm having to wait until I am able to fully use my contract as I am going to end up paying for the privilage of not being able to utilize my contract at all.
Sincerely,
Ashlea Camille.

Hi there
The quickest way to get the correct sized SIM is to pop into your local Vodafone store - they will give you thr right SIM for your device and usually have you up and running in a few minutes. Once you are up and running, you will then be able to port your number over.
The store should also be able to provide you with the various bits of information that you need such as account number.

Ah, I forgot to mention I live on Shetland. There isn't a Vodafone store within several hundred miles. And as I work from 9am till 9pm, I wouldn't be able to visit during their opening hours even if there was a store local.

If you talk to LiveChat (see Contact Us at the bottom of the page), they'll be able to get one sent out to you. I also find that they're the quickest way of getting it activated one it's arrived.
It should also be possible to port your PAYG number - in fact, of all the internal transfer processes, I think this is the simplest. For that, it would be best to hang on for the forum team as I don't know how familiar the normal customer service channel is with the process. They'll also be able to help you with your account details if your welcome email hasn't arrived by then (though have a look in your spam folder as they've been know to go there).
