SIm not unlocking when deactivating flight mode

Hello, I have a Smart Ultra 6, last week signal was becoming variable, then after a while I have tried to make calls and it says I have to switch Flight Mode off. On checking it is off, and still get no signal and same message. I have backed up and restored, but still not working!! New sim, and tried a different one too. Any ideas please?

Process of elimination: Can you try you're Sim card in another phone to rule out either the Sim or Account or Phone which may be at fault. And try another known to be working active SIM card in your phone if you can. I understand you've tried one. 

 

Does this happen while out of your local and surrounding masts ?

 

Can you please check if you've not already done so what the Vodafone Network Mast Status Checker is reporting for your area.

Your masts may show as OK so Please also use the Zoom out feature in the map to check surrounding masts for issues.

Vodafone have provided a specific Self Help Thread that holds Initial Checks and a Template that asks certain questions that will Help the Tech Team to ascertain what's possibly going wrong in your area. Please would you re post the template with your answers for this team to help you.

Thanks for advice, tried all those abd still nothing. Will have to go back to shop with it.

Hi @peteringout

 

You can turn flight mode off on your call settings and notification bar at the top of the phone. If you are unable to turn flight or offline mode off, the best thing to do is to take the phone into a Vodafone store and let them take a look and advise further.

 

If it turns out to be a fault with the phone, you should have a 24 month warranty on the phone and will be able to get a free repair.
