The accepted wisdom is that a factory reset is needed to sort out little software glitches like that. If you prepare for it properly it won't take too long.

Hi @SeanJ

How long have you owned the phone and was it acquired directly through Vodafone?

Have you checked your notification reminder on the phone.  It could have accidentally been turned on to vibrate.

Just a thought, sometimes its something very simple.

Thanks for the advice. I have just done a factory reset, so will wait and see if all is OK tommorow.
I got the phone brand new direct from Vodafone at Xmas.
Thanks, I did check that the notification reminder is turned off in settings/accessibilty. Is that the correct setting?

You're welcome.

Fingers crossed the Reset works or the Notification setting solve the issue.

I asked how long you've owned tbe handset and if you acquired it from Vodafone ,as a person has 30 Days to have it exchanged for a new one. T&C apply.

Same problem today again.  I have a poor signal where I'm working, 1 or 2 bars. I can make calls with the data turned off, but when data is turned on it seems to cause the problem of vibrating then quiting back to the home screen.

This sounds like an issue with your phone.

To find out what you need to do in order to get this sorted, take a look at our Vodafone repairs thread.

Sent my phone off to get it looked at and it came back with a note saying it had been fixed, software updated should work perfectly.  It passed all items on there check list.  Today it has the same problem as before. Randomly vibrating and quiting to the home screen.  Could'nt do anything with it for a short while.  Waited 30 minutes then all ok again.  Is this an android issue?

@SeanJ - It sounds like it needs to go back to repair so it can be looked into further.
