Samsung note 4 not ringing

My phone rings when someone from my contacts list phones but if not on my list, phone does not ring and I only get call if I'm looking at my phone!

Have you checked that no mute setting is turned on.

Try turning the phone off and on to soft reset it.

I don't think I have any mute on as it rings when numbers from my contact list call but I have switched phone off and back on so now I have to wait for someone to call me!
