Samsung statement

I wonder if that means just the handset or everything including the VR?

Hi there

I would say that they are just going to replace the handset and not the VR.  The key bit in the statement is:

For customers who already have Galaxy Note7 devices, we will voluntarily replace their current device with a new one over the coming weeks.

That reads to me that they will replace the phone.

When will those of us with potentially explosive handsets be contacted by Vodafone to replace them?

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 owners in the UK should ring Samsung's customer service team on 0330 7261000, and they will take you through the process of returning your Galaxy Note 7 for a replacement.

TSD.

Thanks for that, I've just spent quite a while queing to get through to them and they have said we have to contact Vodafone who will b e arranging replacements.

And Vodafone, in their latest statement here, say to contact Samsung...

Can see this isn't going anywhere fast, back on the phone with Samsung and they are still saying Vodafone need to work on this.

These are two massive, massive companies why can't they just get all of their information straight?

Well the best thing to do IMO is keep an eye on the phone when charging, and dont leave it on overnight. Then once teh forey has dided down a little get the replacment sorted out with VF.

We have had the Note 7 form VF for around 4 days now, charged it twice and it so far ahsnt even got hot, so we may be one of the lucky ones?

I do wonder though how much VF know what they are doign sometimes as I had a text message come though on teh very phone that they told me wasnt coming due to Samsung concerns. lol.

Have you tried calling that number?

I have just recived a text please call 03337261000, and it comes up on both mobile and landline that there is no such number. Good going guys. lol.
