Slower than TalkTalk

I just switched from TalkTalk broadband. They were really reliable and fast, the only reason I left was because the price.

With TalkTalk I used to get a sync speed of 77mb and a consistent reliable download speed of about 74mb and never any dropouts or anything. With Vodafone my router was syncing at 59mb for the last week and the router has not been turned off or any connection drops or anything, but it has now dropped to a sync of 56mb. It was already nearly 20mb slower than TalkTalk, why has it gotten eve worse?

I only joined 2 weeks ago so I don't know if this is likeley to change, but I would like to know that it will be as fast before I finish my 30 day cooldown period so I can cancel if not. Is there anything that Vodafone could do for this? Otherwise I'm going to switch back.

Its even worse than I thought. I just did a speed test. I tried a few different servers and this was the best I could get:
DOWNLOAD
32.91Mbps

 UPLOAD
13.93Mbps

I used to get at least 73mb download with every test for months with TalkTalk and I NEVER got any less than 19mb upload. What is going on?

”When your broadband is installed, we'll optimise your connection to ensure you get the best possible speed. However, doing this can sometimes cause some short drops in service or unexpectedly slow speeds for the first 10 days and in extreme cases up to 30 days. Please don’t turn off or reset your router during this time.”

Haha so their policy is that you get 30 days to assess the service and decide if you want to change your mind. But tell you that you can't judge the service within the first 30 days?

It's a bit silly that isn't it @tharrison4815
Every provider is going to have some variation in the speed they can offer depending on how congested their networks are, If you're not happy with the speed Vodafone are offering and customer service are unable or unwilling to do anything about it then you're probably best returning to your old provider (or take advantage of some of the other providers black Friday deals)
