Smart Prime 6 problem

Hello, I didn't know which part of the forums to put this into, but, my problem is that my phone is stuck on the "powered by Android" start-up screen; it started last night:

My phone was on charge, and I'd thought I'll play a game because I couldn't get to sleep, and I thought maybe the phones lagging a bit, because it reset itself, but then it started downloading something called "Android System WebView", which I didn't agree to. After that was downloaded the phone reset itself again, but this time, it didn't load back up. It was caught in a "bootloop" so-to-speak (it wouldn't get past the powered by android screen). I tried to clear the cache from the recovery menu, which didn't do anything, it just gave me "failed and could not open"*, when I restarted it, it just kept rebooting. I then tried it again, but it glitched out and received just question marks in replace to some letters with other letters missing**. Once all this failed, I tried a clean factory reset, which, for some reason, broke the phone. After rebooting after the factory reset, I was promted to the "screen of death" or the dead android with a red triangle and exclamation mark. I then reboot the phone again, and now it's just stuck on the "powered by Android" screen. Oh, and yeah, I did retry clearing cache and factory resetting many-a times this morning and still no luck.

And, I forgot to mention I only just bought the phone yesterday (8th October) from Argos.

If there is no solution or the phone hasn't worked by either Monday or Tuesday, I'll give Vodafone a ring or would I need to ring Argos?

I do apologise for the size of the pictures, I don't know what happened.

To be frank due to the length of time with owning this phone I would take it back to Argos and request a replacement.

Just to set your mind at rest, Android System Web View is perfectly OK.   It's a system file that allows links within apps to display more quickly.   It's based on Chrome and is something you should have.   It would almost certainly install by itself if you don't have Automatic Updates turned off in Google Play.   I've been caught out myself that way as it seems to be the one thing that's device rather than account specific (ie, if you get a new phone, you need to turn it off again).  You can find yourself getting updates over mobile data if you leave it on.  Turn it off and you'll still get update notifications and you can choose when to install (preferably when the device is idle to avoid the kind of conflict that may have cause the present problem).
