How did you get on with this? I've just bought the Ultra 6, and thought about google cardboard. But as far as I can tell, all the apps rely on the Google Cardboard app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.samples.apps.cardboarddemo and the play store says it's not compatible with the Ultra 6. Which I think means no Cardboard for us.
