Hi @Edtreff

Have you checked on any Sony type online shop.

Other than that i can only think of Highstreet shops which I appreciate isn’t an option for you but maybe someone you know on the mainland can buy and post to you  , Amazon or eBay.

Whats the full model name of the phone ?

Yes I’d suggest taking the phone with you and try the available cables in the stores.

Good luck.

Assuming the phone on the left is the newer one, that connector looks like a USB-C socket.  The one on the right is almost certainly a micro USB, which is the standard for older smartphones and lower-end current models.   Some older (generally non-smart) devices had mini-usb ports, which are a little bit larger.

You can get USB-C cables online, but be careful.   They need to have a specific resistor to prevent high currents.  When the standard came out, there were some generic ones that lacked this and caused serious damage.   If you're buying on Amazon, I'd be inclined to buy from Amazon themselves and not a 3rd party on Marketplace.  It'll cost more, but think of it as insurance.

You can check the socket spec by looking at the full technical details on the Sony website.   (Don't take my word for it!)

Thanks. You are correct. Got a cable in Stornoway £12.50!!!
