I've spent some time on support online chat and on the phone today, but without any success.
My new Sure Signal unit with a pass-through 3-pin mains socket on the front will not accept a plug - they just don't fit, in that the earth pin doesn't fit in the hole so the two shutters on live and neutral won't open. The guy on chat yesterday said watch the video on youtube, and the girl today didn't even know what a UK plug was like - she ended up reccommending that I go into an electrical store to get an adapter.
The unit itself works fine and seemed easier to set up than the v2 I've got elsewhere in the building, howver at the moment it's in a corner plugged into a socket I don't need for anything else, but not where I want it in the middle of a area, but needing to share a socket with a cash register.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Hi PigzleFly,
I must admit that this isn’t a problem that I’ve ever seen before and I’ve managed to plug my phone charger into the front of the Sure Signal 3 before.
Can I ask if you are trying a “bulky” plug such as a power adapter or just a normal plug as some plugs won’t fit if they are too long?
This can normally happen if the plug has a cable coming out of the top rather than the bottom.

Thanks for getting back to me, James. No - it's a normal three pin plug top with the wire coming in from the bottom. I obviously don't want to apply too much pressure so haven't really forced the plug, but it seems the actual earth hole is too small - the slanted pin which is connected to the live/neutral shutters moves easily when I move it with a screwdriver or such-like.
I look forward to hearing from you again.
