Hi all
I have a VSS V2 received from Vodafone as a replacement for a faulty V1. Having registered it to my account over the helpline (the Vodafone website was down at the time), it is failing to connect ot the Vodafone servers correctly.
It currently displays a solid power light, a solid signal light and an unlit mobile light. Neither of the phones registered on this VSS are able to use the signal, despite both being set to use the 3G network.
In my Draytek I have opened the ports as shown below:
The 10.22.0.74 IP is assigned to the VSS in the Bind IP to Mac options on the draytek.
In the data flow monitor I can see that the VSS is indeed transferring data to and from the WAN connection, and that the speed of this transfer fluctuates.
My broadband speed in both directions is pretty good with low latency:
In the NAT sessions table on the Draytek I can only see a single connection from the Suresignal, and that's to port 4500 - none of the others seem to be active.
Tracrt to the first IP results in failure:
traceroute to 212.183.133.177, 30 hops max through WAN1 protocol ICMP
1 145.255.246.254 30 ms
2 145.255.247.1 40 ms
3 81.23.57.145 30 ms
4 81.23.51.241 30 ms
5 216.66.80.197 30 ms
6 195.66.224.124 30 ms
7 85.205.116.14 30 ms
8 Request timed out. *
9 Request timed out. *
Trace complete.
As does the second:
traceroute to 212.183.133.178, 30 hops max through WAN1 protocol ICMP
1 145.255.246.254 30 ms
2 145.255.247.1 30 ms
3 81.23.57.145 40 ms
4 81.23.51.241 40 ms
5 216.66.80.197 30 ms
6 195.66.224.209 30 ms
7 85.205.116.2 30 ms
8 Request timed out. *
9 Request timed out. *
Trace complete.
Some details...
Serial: 40121341941
My external IP (fixed): 145.255.241.185
ISP: Origin Broadband, using Digital Region South Yorkshire network (VDSL)
Is there anyone that can help me to troubleshoot this and attempt to resolve whatever issue may be preventing it from working. Without the VSS we are unable to use our mobiles in the home (which is also our place of work).
Thanks very much in advance.

OK, so it seems that this issue is now resolved. Perhaps I should have double-checked the settings before posting, but for some reason I assumed that the helpline operative would have done things right!

The Vodafone website just sprung back to life and after checking there I realised that the support operative on Vodafone's helpline had failed to register the suresignal properly.
Having made that change I can now see traffic flowing and NAT sessions open for ports 123, 500 and 4500 so that looks like progress. The system and usgae lights are both flashing on the VSS now so I think it's reconfiguring itself.
I'll post back with updates once this process completes.
Thanks
