Text messaging problems Huawei Ascend G300

I have a Huawei Ascend G300.

I cannot send or receive text messages from one of my contacts, Calls are fine, so I know I have the right number,

Delivery reports are coming through saying that texts have been received at the other end but this is not the case,

I have checked the message settings number and it is correct.

I am not very technology savvy so any help would be great, thank you in advance!

This sounds suspiciously like an Apple iMessage issue.   I'm not familiar with that myself, but there are people here who are, so hang on - one of them will find you.

Are you able to send/receive texts to other numbers? If this is the only number that you’re having trouble with, then the issue may lie at the senders end. The other user would need to contact their network for further info.

Yes this is the only number that I am aware if this happening to. My calls go through ok though, that is what has me puzzled.
Will get them to check next week.
