Unable To Connect To Gmail

Hi,

Starting last week I have been unable to connect to gmail on my Advent netbook.

I can open Google search page (and other web pages). If I choose Mail or Google Calendars then I get the 'Connecting to Google' message in the bottom left hand corner followed by 'Waiting for Google...' and that's as far as it gets.

Am using Ubuntu 9.10 (as of today. Previously 9.04) and Firefoc 3.5 (previously 3.0.15).

I have been able to connect for the last 10 months using mobile bb. When I connect to Tiscali at home I can connect to gmail etc. fine.

Can anyone help?

Hmmm........

As you can connect to other sites and pages no problem it's clear that the mobile broadband does work correctly.

As this is something related to Google you would need to contact them directly as this is not something that we can help you with as its there software that your having issues with.

However we will leave the thread open so if any forum guys have any suggestions they will be able to comment
