Upgrade handset returned in store still not off account

Hi all,

I returned an iPhone to my local store on 26/10/17. It was an upgrade that I decided not to keep. The store had a few issues but eventually I was told that the return was processed and I’d go back to my old plan. This hasn’t happened as yet.

Can anyone tell me how to get this sorted please as I’m still being charged the higher daily rate until my plan reverts?

Thanks.

Did the store originally supplied the iPhone @patd ?

If not then a phone supplied via a courier really needs to be sent back via a Vodafone Returns Bag Which is why some difficulties were met.

Regarding your Tariff and pre upgrade status I’d suggest to speak with Customer Services on 191 to ensure your original tariff is still available to revert to.

Any overpayment would be refunded / credited to your account.

The phone was purchased via online chat. I called 191 to arrange the return and they suggested taking it in to the store as the quickest option. The store accepted it and gave me a receipt for it. My original plan is still available. I haven’t been put back on it as yet and the upfront payment for the handset isn’t refunded as yet.

I thought as as it was done in store it would have been almost immediate?

To be fair, the main reason for me wanting my accounted reverted is so that I can upgrade to the iPhone x.

It seems that even tho a phone was supplied via online order a person can return it to a Vodafone Highstreet Store now as per the information in > https://www.vodafone.co.uk/returns/

What did the store advise in regards to your tariff being changed ?

As for the iPhone 10 expect delays. :Winking_smiley:

Hi @patd

Your online account and the My Vodafone phone application will give the information on the tariff you are on and confirm when the account has reverted back to the previous tariff.  When your following months bill has been received, you should be able to see the changes.

As far as the upfront payment is concerned, you should see a refund within the next 14 days, and this should go back to the card used at the time of payment.

The best way forward is to contact Vodafone by calling CS or using live chat for account access, they will be in a position to answer your questions.
