Upgrade unlocked

Hi Ive just added another phone to my account mainly for the SIM card I wish to sell the phone it’s a Samsung Galaxy S8 will it be unlocked? Will it only accept Vodafone?or will it lock to the first sim that’s put into it?any help appreciated

Hi @Babyd333 if it was purchased from Vodafone it will be locked to them.

The Locked to the first SIM card was mainly in connection to iPhones @Babyd333

Any phone supplied by Vodafone Uk will be locked to them. 

If a person is on Pay Monthly then x3 bills will need to have been paid on time to qualify for an unlock request. 

Or the new owner can use a Payg Vodafone Sim Card in the phone making calls etc for 30 days and they use the new Payg details to request the unlock. 

Unlocking is free.
