If any winding up cost is too high you could perhaps unlock your present phone so it'll accept any networks sim card which could higher it's value and sell it and buy another either locked to Vodafone or unlocked. I.e. a payg phone from Vodafone or perhaps an unwanted phone sold to high street shops such as cex as one example of high street shops who sell and buy phones.
