when is the user guide for Vodafone Smart First6 going to be updated to current models and services? All links lead to an out of date version ( VF_VF695_GB_UM_Eng_GB_09_150326.pdf ) although helpful it is missing many features and screen shots.

To revert to your original enquiry here, I can't see that anyone has suggested looking at the online Device Guide for your phone.
Although, as remarked above, updates to firmware make it virtually impossible to keep the user guides up-to-date, especially when they are in PDF format, firmware updates usually affect a number of phones, so the underlying dataset for the device guides may get updated to reflect such a change. Worth looking, at any rate.
I do sympathise with the problem. My whole involvement with smartphones and the Forum began over 4 years ago with my purchase of a Huawei G300. The English language version of the user guide remained firmly stuck with the original firmware, but I eventually discovered that the Huawei website included a more up-to-date version - in Polish! I'll have a crack at reading documents in most western European languages, but Polish totally defeated me. However, there were a few screenshots and sequences of instructions which offered clues, and I did discover the answer to a couple of questions that way.
Actually, that gives me an idea - have you done a Google search, to see if Vodafone companies in other countries have slightly different versions of the userguide? They'd probably all have been produced at about the same time, but you might find a more recent version - look for other English-speaking versions in AU, NZ or ZA, for example, as I don't really recommend trying languages you don't know!

Thanks for your logn informative reply. I have alreday found the device guide and it is useful and I will now try other countries I am sure USA will be more up to date than UK. Vodafone's web set is not easy to use, many things are not linked and it takes ages and alot of patience to find anything. Problem is there is noone I have found to report such things and make useful suggestions, they all hide behind iron curtains as it where., unless you know diffrently?. They do give you a survey link after usimg the sitebut it isn't very useful either, I have never seen any changes made because of users reporting issues. I am sure they would be veyr happy to say soemthing like "thanks customers for your feedback and now we have made thee followig changes which we hope you find work well for you etc..! Thanks for your time.
