Veteran reporting for duty. I served bravely in the Wars of the Vodafone iPhone Preorders, and my service medal has three bars (4S, 5S, 6Plus).
To those who have seen the chaos of war that annually floods this forum, what do you expect this year? Tears, rage, very angry emoticons? Or is there a change in the winds? I heard the pre-order website didnt instantly crash at 8am this morning, which is as promising as it is unheard of!
What did you go for? I'm assuming very few of you went for the 16GB model, I imagine you would only get about a minutes worth of 4K video on that!
Anyway, to all newbies and grizzled veterans, welcome to the annual Vodafone iPhone preorder hunger games thunder dome. of death.

The bottom line is no matter what improvements Vodafone have put in place to avoid the problens with ordering over previous year it is still going to be down to Apple being able to supply the phones in the given timescale that dicates how many peopole will be dissapointed.

Hi,
In my opinion it's also down to the Network taking on orders and having the units available to supply to orders taken. Overselling has been evident in the past. Stocking levels change so fast I suspect.
launches are well known to reach fever madness.
Some think its Apple restricting the amount the outlets get. 😏
In truth we'll probably never know what agreement the Network has with on the amount of units that have been agreed to be supplied.

None of the networks only take orders for the stock they are holding that is what pre-orders are all about.
Despite their best efforts no network is able to predict the numbers for any specific model they they are selling.
In the end it is down to Apple to have sufficient handsets available for shipping to avoid the delays that have been seen in recent years.
At the moment Apple manufacture a certain amount for the release date then call-off stock from the factories as they receive orders from networks.

I ended up ordering the 6s 128gb through Vodafone and O2!
I did order it though O2 first as I was sucked into the 30gb of data they offered and free insurance.
However I then spoke with Vodafone to cancel a contract and they have matched O2 pretty much ... I'm still confused!
I'm thinking Gold 128gb version... no one will want that right?? lol

Tbh, both networks are very Good. VF is slightly quicker ( but not by much)
I'll definatley decide within the cooling off period , that's for certain.

Fair enough.
Fingers crossed all goes ok for you and Vodafone beat the other Network in supplying the better service 😉

One of the rumours is that the iPhone 6s will be fitted with 1Gb or Ram and the iPhone 6s Plus to have 2Gb of Ram.
The iPad Pro certainly interests me and will be a great upgrade to my iPad Air.
At a guess just over £500 for the starting memory model and then theirs the Pencil possibly at £60-£70.
Premium priced devices but as I use my iPad Air as my daily driver at home a good investment.
Then possibly the new Keyboard attachment too.
I'll be watching the You Tube Un-Boxings and real end user reviews and visiting my local Store for a hands on experience.
