Vodafone Mobile Broadband - It Connects To The Internet But Re-directs To A Login Page

Good Morning all,

Just a really quick (hopefully) question, I have a Mobile Broadband Dongle which was a PAYT one where you top up £15 and the credit expires after a long period of time (I believe it was 90 days).

It worked fine in my Windows 7 equipped Acer laptop, and I never experienced any problems at all. I then purhcased a Samsung NC10 netbook which had an integrated 3G modem, for the sake of mobility, I took the SIM out of the dongle and inserted it into the Samsung. It worked flawlessly for about 2 weeks but now whenever I try and connect to the internet, I'm constantly re-directed to a Vodafone login page.

I figured at first it might be because I was out of credit, but I have topped it up with £15 and I'm still encountering the same problem. Do I need to be using the USB dongle supplied with the SIM with the netbook?

Hi HarmzSingh and welcome to the eForum

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with this.

You shouldn'y need to use the Dongle if you have a built in modem. Just for arguments sake, can you try the SIM back in the modem and see if that works?

Can you also tell me what settings you are using within the Vodafone Mobile Connect software, there maybe something amiss here. :)
