Vodafone Smart 7 Platinum camera won't focus

I had a smart 7 platinum and it stopped charging, it got sent off for repairs and came back. When it came back the rear camera wouldn't focus and kept popping in and out but still would never focus on anything. I lived with that for a few weeks and then the battery wasn't charging again, I got it sent it off for repairs again and was told that it couldn't be repaired so was given a new smart 7 platinum. The first time I try and use the camera - literally 3 hours after getting the phone - I encounter the same problem again. The phone hasn't been dropped or anything like that in those three hours and I'd really like to not have to use the selfie camera ALL the time. Does anybody have any ideas? I have no faith in taking it back to the shop at this point
