Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 - Wont turn on and LED flashes when plugged in to charge

Hi All,

My VFD 900 (Vodafone Smart Platinum 7) turned itself off earlier, it sometimes does this but upon charging seems to work again, however this time when i plug it in to charge it just flashes the LED at the top, I didnt leave it in long as i dont want to do anymore damage,

Any Ideas?

How long have you owned the phone ?

Troubleshooting options could be...

Try an alternative charger. 

Sometimes a Factory Reset after creating a back up can help. 

If still under its 24 month manufacturing warranty then any Vodafone Highstreet Store can look at it for you and if deemed necessary send it off to their repair centre.

When you say it turned itself off, was this because the battery was flat?   In certain circumstances, this can render the phone unusable and a reflash of the OS is the only solution.   If not (you say it's done it before), then it sounds like a fault.   You'd only be able to do a reset if you can start the device, but have you tried Recovery Mode (Volume Up + Power together)?  If you can get into that, the volume buttons move the cursor and the power one selects.
