Vodafone Smart Ultra Screen freezes

Since buying the smart Ultra 6 the screen keeps freezing after only very short usage. We couldnt find a function in the settings that can stop it from freezing - is there on?. If it cant be changed in settings could it be a software issue?

How long have you owned the phone ? You have 14 days to swap it out.

If your over 14 days first make sure no firmware update is pending in the phones software settings.

Also if you've recently performed a firmware update a factory reset or Hard Reset can help by clearing out old redundant files.

Factory Reset is in the phones settings.

Hard Reset can be found by googling the make and model of the phone followed by hard reset.

Make a back up as this typically deletes saved data in the phones memory.

Hi thanks of reply

I will try those things

I have noticed that it freezes when the top panel slides up and disappears

(Which shows the name of the network on the left and when Bluetooth is connect as well as wifi and network connection, battery level and time)

Could this therefore be something that can be changed in the settings?

So the panel remains there longer so it doesn't freeze so quickly

Also when the screen freezes you can press the blue home button or back button at the bottom of the phone to unfreeze it with the top panel reappearing

Thanks

nb

The panel at the top usually dissapear upwards and the screen freezes after only a few seconds, for example after entering an app or when trying to write a text message.

The smart ultra 6 is a very capable phone for the money, so I don't think the issue will be lack of resources?

Do you live in a poor signal area? One of the biggest culprits of phone lag is when a device is constantly searching for a strong signal.

A factory reset is always a good idea, at least you can start to investigate with a clean slate if the issue continues.

Hi

Thanks for the replies

The Phone software was up to date but a factory reset appears to have fixed the problem. Fingers crossed it will stay that way!
