Hi @adamjohn
I've used both Apple Pay and Android Pay and found them both to be equally matched.
Im currently awaiting for Samsung Pay to be released in the U.K.
Like most things if care and attention is used both have been made pretty secure, and have security protocols in the phones for them to remain secure too.
I submit for some it's not a want and need to use their phone for payment so using Bank Cards or good old cash are the way to go.

There is some (albeit possibly limited) evidence that contactless is actually more secure than chip & PIN. There's an added level of security in mobile payments (such as Android Pay) as your card is tokenised and the real number not used. If you lose your phone, you have the option to block it, or just the payment aspect, from your Google account (for AP) without nuking the card itself, which you can continue to use.
