My Iphone 6 battery has been failing me for a few weeks. So I went into my local branch (Glenrothe Fife) to be told to drive to my nearest apple store (60mile round trip) to be told by apple to go online and sort it out with tech support. I spoke to apple tech support and they said that my device is over 1 year old and is not covered by apples manufactuers warranty that this would be a concern of VODAFONE!!! As per consumer law any device purchased in the UK will come with at least a 5 year warrenty but VODAFONE will not take ownership of this fault but they have told me that I still have to pay my contract and cant claim off my insurance which is want goin to do anyway. Vodafone are in breach of contract and I will not be paying any more of my money to the worst mobile phone courier in the country.
Under the Sale of good act I am covered by law this is a manufactuers fault. Vodafone have to replace or repair this and if they dont I am entitled to a refund.

Hi there,
I am sorry to hear you have had issues with your phone.
For Apple Products their warranty is only 12 months any faults after that can only be covered by insurance.
Vodafone can only roll with what each Manufacturer states.
Hope this helps.

Hi
I totally appreciate the frustration your feeling with this but please do not stop your payments. This can cause restrictions to be placed on your account and can result in a 6 year default placed on a Credit File making applying for credit etc difficult.
What at issues are you experiencing with the battery ?
You can look at consumer law and please read the terms carefully. I'm sure you have.

Hi just to let you both know I have been in touch with citizen advice and I am in the right here. Under the sales of goods act VODAFONE are responsible to repair or replace the faulty phone but since the people who I dealt with in branch did not want to hear what I had to say and accused me of lying I will now be putting a letter of complaint in and following said letter VODAFONE will have a deadline set to reply to me. If they do not accept that this is their problem and not Apples as Apple didn't sell me the phone VODAFONE did and apple will only honor 1 year on the warranty but under consumer law the phone has a 5 year warranty that has to be upheld by Vodafone as they are the ones who sold me and supplying me with the phone not Apple.
As Far as insurance goes the handset is not subject to damage and has not been lost or stolen. The issue is with the battery with is encased in the phone hence the fact I said its a manufacturers fault not mine. But what is worse is the fact that I claimed off my insurance and got a "NEW HANDSET" so the years manufactures warranty should apply from this date but apparently not anyway I am not claiming off my insurance for a fault I went into branch with to be told to go to the apple store and passed back to VODAFONE. This is no fault of my own and I will not be paying for any service I am not receiving and that's what Citizens Advice told me to do its called "consequential loss". Where your shop staff called me a liar and this law does not apply to them.
The letter will be sent recorded delivery tomorrow and we will see what happens after that as if I am not happy I will be filing a law suit against this sham of a company no wonder vodafone is the most complained about network in the world.

I have had nothing but bother with vodafone since taking out this phone being over charged every month I can safley say after this experience with them and all the previous issues I have had over the first year this will be my last phone with this company and for shop staff to shout at me and call me a liar is shocking. By the way I hope you guys know that consumer law changed in October 2015 just incase you wanted to check out what I am saying
