Hi Vaux1,
Sounds like you have one of the handsets affected with the hardware issue
Samsung have said they will replace affected phones so you will be able to get it sorted.
I suggest contacting Samsung directly as they will likely be able to provide a replacement quicker than Vodafone

Alternatively you can Contact Vodafone though I imagine they would require the handset to be inspected prior to issuing a replacement.

Sounds like Samsung are wanting the fault confirmed by an engineer in the repair centre before they issue a replacement.
Sit tight, i'll flag it with the eForum team to see what communication they have had around the issue.

Hi Vaux1,
Did you get the phone directly from one of our stores or from Carphone Warehouse?
If you got the phone from us, you can arrange a repair in store and you'll be issued with a replacement phone whilst your Galaxy S5 is away.
If the phone was purchased from Carphone Warehouse, you'd need to speak with them to arrange a repair.
Thanks,
Matt B
