WiFi Calling

I am so annoyed to find that the new Galaxy S7 is not enabled for Wifi calling! I could not use that facility on my S6 Edge as the phone wasnt bought from Vodafone, so didnt have the setting installed in the phone. I went for the upgrade with Vodafone as I assumed the setting would be in the phone as it came from them...not so!

Anyone else really dissapointed?

I think Vodafone need to take a good hard look at the S7/ S7E launch process and ask themselves what went wrong? And why were the so unprepared for the launch of a flagship phone ?

I have just received the following Email from Vodafone Tech Team it doesnt look good for S7 Edge owners

The issue our teams investigated was down to provisioning of the service on your number.

I see you are using an Samsung S7 Edge which unfortunately until the next handset software update is not compatible on our WiFi calling service.

The only handsets that currently support the service are the Samsung Galaxy s6 Edge and the iPhone 6 and 6 + models.

You may need to call in to discuss your options with our Customer Service Teams.

so wifi calling finally works on my galaxy s7 edge after upgrading to the latest update. but still ridiculous to not have sms. Only vodafone can provide half baked products !
