If you haven't already done so, you should go through a factory reset. It's a bit of a pain but it should sort out your problem.

Hi there

I've experienced the contrary - the battery life is pretty good after the update!  But I did a factory reset immediately after installing KitKat.  Have you done a factory reset of your device at all?

No,dont really wanna do that,I will if I have to,surely having to do a factory reset after a update is saying there is something wrong with the update?

No not at all. It is highly recommended that all phones are reset after a major OS update. This forces any lingering remnants of the previous version from memory and ensures that only properly compatible apps are downloaded from the app store.

Another option is going to Location Services and switching from High Accuracy to Battery Saving. They improved the accuracy in the latest version, resulting in it being a higher drain. Doesn't solve it in every case - depends what it was set to before - but the few mates I've suggested it to have seen an improvement.

The reset is still a good idea as standard practice, but if you're desperately opposed to it, give this a lash first.

I turned LOCATION off completely and my battery drain is now great :Smiling:

One of the downsides of turning off location services is not being able to track the phone using the online Android Device Manager and security wipe it if it's lost or stolen.

Thanks Jeffkin
I had such bad drain with it on in High accuracy setting(seemed the default setting) I tried it with Location off to see how it went. There was a marked difference in fact it was far better than 4.3...but obviously it would be with it off.
I'm now trying in Power saving mode to see if that setting is giving me roughly the same or slightly better as in 4.3
Cheers

I'm definitely seeing better battery life on my Note 3 with Kitkat.
